Lorenz joined CommerzVentures in April 2020. He enjoys working with metrics-oriented yet visionary teams and is delighted by well-designed products. Lorenz works with portfolio companies Helu, WeGift and Doconomy.
Before joining CommerzVentures, Lorenz gained more than four years of experience as a management consultant in various digital transformation projects ranging from automation strategies to applied data analytics in financial services. In this position, he worked closely with technology startups to execute a variety of proof-of-concept projects.
Lorenz holds a M.Sc. in Economics and Finance from the University of Cologne and completed studies in Beijing, Hong Kong and San Diego. During university, Lorenz co-founded an internet startup and launched the initiative "Entrepreneurs Club Cologne", intended to bring students and the startup scene closer together. Out of work, Lorenz spends his time playing guitar and listening to alternative rock music.
